Kenra Daniels’ #SixSunday Needs You!

Last week I announced that TIGHT SPACES was finished. That ended up changing as I edited the final scene and wasn’t satisfied with it, but it didn’t take long to rewrite the scene so that it fit the story better. So, it is, indeed, finished. All but one thing. TIGHT SPACES NEEDS YOU! There’s only one problem left. My cover artist, Timothy White (keep watching here for more on him) gave me two versions of the cover to choose from. I LOVE them BOTH! Every time I think I’ve decided definitely which one to use, I end up changing my mind. So,  with time running out, I need help deciding. That’s where YOU come in. Tomorrow, Sept 3, I’ll reveal both versions of the cover. I need YOU to tell me which version you like best, and help me decide which to use! I’ll announce the decision on Friday,  Sept … Continue reading

Hi, all. This week’s Six is from Tight Spaces again. It’s FINISHED at last! Keep an eye on the Double Dare Page - I’ll reveal the cover and announce the expected release date SOON! For now, this will have to do This snippet is from early in the novella, as Amy is going into the Double Dare Club. The doorman is selecting his evening’s prospects from among the female clientele as they enter the club. “That’s an awfully nice dress for a dump like this, Sweetheart.” She licked her lips before answering, causing heat to flare in his eyes. “It’s my favorite, so I decided what the hell.” “If you get tired of the jerks inside, come on back out and keep me company a while. I know how to treat a lady.” His voice, rumbly and intimate, promised a good time. Come back next week, for Six Sentences from the final … Continue reading

Kenra Daniels’ #SixSunday Final Scene

This week’s Six is from Tight Spaces, my Erotic Contemporary Romance Novella, Book One in my new series, The Double Dare Club. I’m finally closing in on The End for this one! I only have the final scene left to write and edit, so just a couple hours work, and I can type “The End”. In this snippet, Amy and Jesse have left a nasty confrontation with Amy’s Ex that nearly tanked their lovely evening. With the rest of the night salvaged, Jesse wants revenge, so he   searches out a member of the Double Dare Club Security. “Sounds like the guy. Listen, Ray, he’s been hassling my friend here. Said some stuff that made her feel really bad. Is there any way you could make sure she doesn’t have to deal with him anymore tonight? Until we leave here, at least.” Jesse slipped the bouncer a bill, concealing the … Continue reading

Kenra Daniels’ #SixSunday – Yet Another Title?

This week’s Six Sunday is from the same Erotic Romance Novella the last couple have been from. Now, last week, the plan was that this story’s title would be “Dare To Stare”. Since then, during edits, the focus of the story has changed, and the entire concept evolved. This story has become the foundation of a series of contemporary Erotic Romances. The series, titled The Double Dare Club, is based on the nightclub introduced in this story, the Double Dare. For the series, all the couples will be connected in some way to the Double Dare – one might work there, they might meet there, or meet in a fender-bender in the street out front. Because of the change in focus for the current story, “Dare To Stare” no longer fits as the title. The new title, referring to the smex-in-the-closet scene, and other incidents, is Tight Spaces. The following … Continue reading

Kenra Daniels’ #SundaySix Has A Title!

Last week I posted Six Sentences from my Work In Progress, an untitled erotic contemporary romance, and asked if anyone had ideas for a title. A couple of you had wonderful suggestions. Well, now it has a title, thanks to my friend and critique partner, Azure Boone. Having the advantage of reading a major scene, she suggested “Dare To Stare”, because of the scene where the hero catches the heroine staring at him. Instead of looking away, she continues to stare, bold as brass. So, Dare To Stare it is. Amy followed her gaze and recognized Jessie’s powerful body nearing the table. Once more, his stride reminded her of a big cat stalking prey. A little shiver danced across her skin with the realization that she was the prey. The tip of her tongue slid across her lower lip, anticipating his taste. Jessie paused, his hot gaze melting her. Her anger faded … Continue reading

Kenra Daniels’ Sunday 6 Needs A Title!

I’ve been away from Six Sentence Sunday for a while, but it’s time I get back to it. This Six is from a contemporary erotic romance novella I’m working on. The thing really needs a title, and fast, so if you have any suggestions, leave a comment! And be sure to stop by the Sunday Six blog to see a list of participants so you can check out their work, too! She’d never felt that way before, and refused to examine it, for fear of breaking the spell. Sex with Jessie was a whole new experience, too, especially the sense of contentment that followed. Normally, she would be restless, vaguely uncomfortable, needing something to do. Leaning there against Jessie’s chest, with his breath stirring her hair and his fingers absently stroking her shoulder while his voice slid around her in an almost tactile way felt indescribably right. What would it be … Continue reading

  • Just Sayin’

I'm a Romance Author - mainly Paranormal, but nearly all with fairly graphic intimate scenes. Those scenes serve to further the development of my plots and characters and are not included haphazardly to sell books or arouse readers.

I probably COULD tell the stories without the graphic parts, but I CHOOSE not to. I want to show the full scope of the developing relationship, and leaving out some of the most powerful and meaningful moments will deprive the reader of a measure of understanding and emotional reaction to the characters and their stories.

Since I write books intended for adult readers, I often have material on my website that is entirely unsuitable for younger readers. If you're under 18, or if you're easily offended by open discussion of sexual situations with frank language, you might want to look the other direction.
