Catching Up, News, New Releases & More

Between a Hubby with bronchitis, 3 tiny boys with a stomach virus, battling a week-long migraine, and trying to help my Mom a little, I haven’t had a great deal of time left over for writing. Which meant blogging was one of the first cuts I made. Hopefully, at least some of that is resolved now, because I’m sooo over cleaning up buckets of vomit. B} Who The Hell Won? Blogs Are Lovely Things, Aren’t They?

Imagine my surprise when, the other day, I get a comment on my post Kenra Daniels’ #SixSunday – Yet Another Title announcing that I’ve been tagged with the Lovely Blog Award! Many thanks to Sunni Morris at Surviving Life for my very first Blog Award!   What is the Lovely Blog Award? Rules for the Lovely Blog award are to thank the blogger who nominated you, give seven facts about yourself, post the blog award badge on your site, and nominate 11 noteworthy blogs, notifying them you did so.  So, here we go: 1. I have a chronic illness that results in massive pain and gradually worsening nerve damage. 2. Hubby and I were married 6 weeks after we met, having spent a total of 10 days together when he could get weekend passes from Fort Knox. 3. Growing up, I loved horses – more than most girls who love horses. I … Continue reading

Love Scenes & Wet Dreams & Other Things

Recently, my friends and critique partners, Azure Boone and Jennifer James, and I decided to to start a group blog. The general idea was for it to be a place where we could jointly promote our work, talk about things important to us, things we find funny, and just generally be a little silly. And so, the idea for Love Scenes & Wet Dreams, a.k.a. LSWD, was born. We have several ideas for the blog, some of which will take a while to implement. For now, we’ll all incredibly busy, between writing and raising our families, and we don’t have as much time to devote to it as we’d like. So, we’re concentrating on the basics, getting everything situated the way we’d like and building content. When we have time to catch our breath, we’ll switch up the focus to getting some different things going. Right now, Azure has up a … Continue reading

The Myth Of Multiples (Orgasms, That Is)

*WARNING: The following post is a frank discussion of sexual practices and situations some might find offensive. If you are under 18, or find such discussions objectionable, please explore my other posts and pages.* That’s that, so let’s get on with the important stuff, m’kay? One of the big pet peeves that both readers and writers seem to have with romance novels is lack of realism in matters pertaining to orgasms. If I had a nickel for every time I’ve read a comment someone left regarding the implausibility of multiple orgasms for both Hero and Heroine, well… You know the rest of the line. So, that got me thinking… Yes, thank you, I’m well aware of the hazards associated with that activity! Are multiple orgasms impossible? For just males? Or for both males and females? (See that? I’m pretending I don’t already know the answer ) Many people, of both … Continue reading

Where Do YOU Draw The Line?

*WARNING: The following post is a frank discussion of sexual practices and situations some might find offensive. If you are under 18, or find such discussions objectionable, please explore my other posts and pages.*   Okay, warning out of the way, let’s get to it. Welcome to another Hit Or Miss (TM) Series post. This one is inspired by a post on erotic romance author Alex O’Hurley‘s blog, titled “You Wanna Cum Where?”. Alex talked about the preference some men have for ejaculating on their partner’s face. Alex doesn’t care for cum facials at all, and judging from the comments, lots of other women don’t either. Personally, I find it to be overtly degrading and dominant. Some male animals will mount another male’s head and ejaculate or urinate as a show of dominance. I refuse to allow a man to treat me that way. So that got me thinking. I’m pretty sure … Continue reading

Your Guide To Sex With… #1

Welcome to a new Hit Or Miss Series(TM)! So, what the hell is a Hit Or Miss Series(TM)? I’m glad you asked. A Hit Or Miss Series(TM) is a series of posts on whatever random subject strikes my imagination. No particular schedule. No particular format. So, for the Your Guide To Sex With… Hit Or Miss Series(TM) {Hey, now, I’m pretending to be precious with the little (TM) symbol! Don’t laugh!} For the first Your Guide To Sex With… post, I thought about staying close to home, and talking about what would happen if a human had sex with a weredragon. But, there are some SOOPER SEKRIT S’PRIZEZ involved with that, so I’m holding it until Blood Dragon I is published. That way, I won’t ruin the first time for you. With weredragons out of the running, then, I think I’ll go with The Vampire. So here it is Your Guide To Sex With… … Continue reading

“Never” Is Just Too Damn Long

I despise political rants where the writer calls you stupid if you don’t agree with their politics. I always said I never do a politics related post here. But “Never” is a long time, so I’m breaking that promise to you, and myself. But I still won’t call you stupid, won’t talk about the… Never mind. Relax, though. No axes to grind here. My issue is with the process, rather than the participants. At least as far as this post is concerned. So, you ask, what about politics has compelled Kenra to take a break from writing? After all, I’m only ONE scene from finishing what I sincerely HOPE is the FINAL round of revisions and edits of Blood Dragon I, now tentatively titled Safe Heart. Sometime this week, hopefully my critique partners, Azure Boone and Jennifer James, will have had time to give it a quick read and make … Continue reading

ReBlog of Masquerade Crew Featured Follower

The blogging network I belong to has introduced a new feature call Reblogging. Basically, I can produce an exact copy of another member’s blog post, including author attribution and comments. I’ve decided to put Reblog to the test! Here is The Masquerade Crew’s post with me as their Featured Follower. #Follow @kenra_daniels: Paranormal Romance writer working toward getting published. Uh… Hi? Remember me? Yeah, I’m that Kenra Daniels. While I’ve been under my rock, the world has continued to turn. Shocking, I know, but true. I’m telling you, guys, you really MUST read this book!! Azure is a phenomenal writer, and the story is fascinating. The Hero, Roan Kreed, is deliciously hot, and troubled, and a little bit bad… All ingredients for the kind of Romance Novel Hero you’d love to… yeah. A Progress Report, Of Sorts…

First, I have to apologize. I haven’t posted here in far too long… For several reasons. Between power outages and internet service interruptions, one of the grandsons ill and whiny, and a bunch of other personal crap, I’ve barely had time to sit, let alone write or blog. And this evening I received word that my step-dad, Reno, is in the hospital with a bowel obstruction. His doctor thinks it’s rather minor and will be dealt with quite easily. The only concern is that he has  several other serious health issues. Hopefully none of those will interfere, or be made worse by the current problem. With all that going on, I *still* haven’t managed to complete revisions for Blood Dragon so it can get on its way. Right now, after family, that has to be my top priority. So, until it’s done, this blog will go dark, along with my social … Continue reading
