Between a Hubby with bronchitis, 3 tiny boys with a stomach virus, battling a week-long migraine, and trying to help my Mom a little, I haven’t had a great deal of time left over for writing. Which meant blogging was one of the first cuts I made. Hopefully, at least some of that is resolved now, because I’m sooo over cleaning up buckets of vomit. B} Who The Hell Won? Welcome to a new Hit Or Miss Series(TM)! So, what the hell is a Hit Or Miss Series(TM)? I’m glad you asked. A Hit Or Miss Series(TM) is a series of posts on whatever random subject strikes my imagination. No particular schedule. No particular format. So, for the Your Guide To Sex With… Hit Or Miss Series(TM) {Hey, now, I’m pretending to be precious with the little (TM) symbol! Follow with Google Friend Connect? Not Anymore!

If you haven’t heard already, Google’s Friend Connect, or GFC, will no longer be available outside the Blogger platform in March. Since GFC was never available for WordPress.com blogs anyway, this hasn’t affected me one way or the other. But lots of bloggers who don’t use Blogger have been unhappy about being told to add their Google Plus badge to their sidebar. They will have to start from scratch building their followings, and those new followers won’t see their blogs in Google Reader. Without widely known alternatives, though, there wasn’t much they could do except push followers to sign up via their RSS feed, with mixed success. As far as I’m aware, Facebook’s Networked Blogs was the only other option that most blog readers would be familiar with. I’m sure there are others, just not as universally recognized. Until Now! Beginning the Makeover!!

I’ve mentioned a few times before that I had a major revamp of my blog planned. I’m pleased to announce that the process has started! I’ve transferred it from WordPress.com to a self-hosted site – hence the generic background, etc. Some things will be returning to the original, but over the next few weeks, there will be many changes. I’ll keep you updated with my progress as I go along. A few details: For those non-techy folks among you who might be intimidated by doing the same, I’ve decided to provide a few details. I consider myself barely technologically literate – I can use my simple little cell phone, though not to capacity; I can set the DVR to record something in advance; I can use most soft-ware as long as it is straight forward and has decent help files just in case.
