#Author Tory Michaels On Balancing Acts, Dream-Walker Tour

Hey, everyone, please welcome author Tory Michaels to the blog today! She comes to us by way of Sizzling PR on her Dream-Walker War tour. I owe Tory a HUGE apology – this post was supposed to go live early this morning, and I put the wrong date in the scheduler! Getting the date wrong seems to be a habit – I did that on another post a few days ago. Matter of fact, I think I set them up at the same time, so maybe it was just that day… So, Tory, I hope you’ll accept my apologies, and hugs. I’m sorry that the chaos currently infesting my life spilled over into yours! Hi, Kenra, and thanks for having me here on your blog today. Your topic is one that is a constant battle for me, finding the balance between my writing and the rest of my life. I have … Continue reading

Author Jennifer Malone Wright & The Right #Music to Hunt #Vampires

Join me in welcoming Jennifer Malone Wright, author of THE VAMPIRE HUNTER’S DAUGHTER, to the blog today. Don’t forget to enter the GIVEAWAY below! Jennifer is offering some fantastic prizes! You’ve noticed how listening to a particular type of music, or even a specific song, will put you in a mood to do certain things. Well, authors are no different. Many of us go so far as to create a special play list to listen to as we work on each project. It sort of prepares our mind, gets us into ‘character’, to live in that world and write what we see. Today, Jennifer is here to talk about the music she listened to as she worked on THE VAMPIRE HUNTER’S DAUGHTER. Top Ten Songs on my Vampire Hunter’s Daughter Playlist So, a lot of people seem really interested to know what kind of songs are on my playlist for … Continue reading

Author Heather Long On Comic Books & Heroes

Please join me in welcoming author Heather Long to the blog today. She’s here to talk about some life lessons everyone needs to learn, but some never do, and her book, Yesterday’s Heroes. Don’t forget to enter the giveaway for a chance to win a copy of Yesterday’s Heroes or Marshal of Hel Dorado! Everything I Needed to Know I Learned in Comic Books My mother never saw value in reading comic books. She called it “a waste of money” and, worse, “a waste of my time.” Unfortunately for her, I was a stubborn kid. When she ‘threatened’ to never pay for my comics again, I got a part time job and paid for them myself. When she refused to get me a ride to the comic book store, I took four different buses a total of twelve miles—including a half-mile walk to the bus stops on either end. When … Continue reading

Spotlight On Dina Rae, Author Of THE LAST DEGREE

Lets give a very warm welcome to Dina Rae, author of The Last Degree.   The Last Degree is a fictionalized account of how Freemasons and other secret societies set up the world for takeover. Ancient writings foretell a ‘Shining One’ who emerges as the world’s prophet. A murder of a Most Worshipful mason resembles a secret oath. A cop gets too close to solving the crime. Paranoid preppers go underground, preparing for war. Headlines such as the Norway massacre, meltdown of the European Union, unscrupulous media, animal die-offs, Middle Eastern unrest, and U.S. shrinking power make the plot relevant to present day. This book is an ode to Christians, Birthers, 2012ers, Truthers, preppers, and/or other conspiracy junkies who enjoy Dan Brown, Jesse Ventura, Brad Meltzer, Alex Jones, Jerry Jenkins and Tim LaHaye. The Last Degree will be FREE Sept. 27th – 28th! Excerpt: Dwight took off his crown, signifying he was … Continue reading

Judging A Book By Its Cover with Malia Mallory

Today we have Erotic Romance Author Malia Mallory to talk about the value of a book’s cover. These days, the cover is more important than ever, since it has to catch the reader’s eye all by itself – no cute store displays, no table in the center aisle, no big shelf stocked with a hundred copies. Just that lonely little cover there in the virtual bookstore, along with all the others. Now, here’s Malia: Enticing Erotica Covers I recently decided some of my covers needed an upgrade. I’d been looking around at the fabulous covers of my author friends and feeling jealous. In fact, I was becoming concerned it might even be hurting my sales. I needed to step it up. So, what to do? I contacted a cover artist who had done some work I admired. She did a new design concept for my ABCs of Erotica series. I … Continue reading

Sorta Spotlight, First Five, Plus Some Temporary Changes

In Lieu of this week’s Spotlight: First a few notes: These days, it seems the more I accomplish, the further behind I get! In an effort to buckle down and get the priorities taken care of. Thanks to #writemotivation, I’ve had to plan how best to meet my goals, and that’s what this is.  Right now, getting Blood Dragon out on submission is my highest priority professionally. I need to hit it hard until it’s perfect, and get it out there. To that end, some of my posts here will be recycled content from months ago. I posted these back when my blog went several days at a time with no visits, so they should be fresh to you. I’ll still be posting new content as well, just not as much. In April, I’ll be celebrating my first Blogaversary! Gonna try to do something special to celebrate, but I haven’t decided … Continue reading
