Last week I posted Six Sentences from my Work In Progress, an untitled erotic contemporary romance, and asked if anyone had ideas for a title. A couple of you had wonderful suggestions. Well, now it has a title, thanks to my friend and critique partner, Azure Boone. Having the advantage of reading a major scene, she suggested “Dare To Stare”, because of the scene where the hero catches the heroine staring at him. Instead of looking away, she continues to stare, bold as brass.
So, Dare To Stare it is.
Amy followed her gaze and recognized Jessie’s powerful body nearing the table. Once more, his stride reminded her of a big cat stalking prey. A little shiver danced across her skin with the realization that she was the prey. The tip of her tongue slid across her lower lip, anticipating his taste.
Jessie paused, his hot gaze melting her. Her anger faded away, insignificant in the face of her passion and desire for him.
I’m planning to self-publish this one, and had hoped for a mid-August release. Unfortunately, the time factor hasn’t worked out, so I’m pushing it back to end of the month.

Oh my….what’s going to happen next? A little throw down on the table perhaps???

I want to know what happens next. You know if he can do that so quickly to her that is a good thing.

Let me try this again since my name went all funky in my first comment. I want to know what happens next. You know if he can do that so quickly to her that is a good thing.

I know it’s just a snippet, but is a third person present? That “her” in the first sentence is ambiguous.

Dare to Stare…I like that. I’m anxious to see what happens next between them. Nice six!
